There are many ways to make a wire wrapped ring. If you plan on making several of these you will want a ring gauge that can be purchased at many hobby and craft stores. While there, select the stone you want for this ring. Make sure these are the ones that are predrilled as you’ll need to insert the wire through the holes. You will need wire cutters and a spool of 14 gauge silver wire.

Start by measuring your toe size. Cut fifty (50), inches of wire. Once you know the circumference of your toe, bend the wire such that there are two pieces laying side by side and one half inch longer than your toe size. Repeat this until you have four pieces of wire lying side by side. Make sure these coils are very tight. This is called the base or ring base. Wrap the remaining wire tightly around this base but leave a little bit at the end to form a loop (by opening the base wires at the coiled ends). Continue until you have reached the same point on the other end of the base. Once completed, form the wrapped piece around the finger gauge.

Put stones on the remaining piece of wire. The number you use is your choice. Run the free end through the loop at the end of the base and wrap it back around and back through the stones. Check periodically to ensure you have not put too many stones on thus making the ring too large. Once you have all the stones on and the ring is the correct size, cut off the excess wire, leaving a small length that can be wrapped around the end to secure it. Push the excess into the end stone.

Are dress codes important?

It’s a very interesting question. If you sit to discuss about dress codes you might end up in a debate. Creating a dress code for a workplace can be a tricky thing. Fashion is the word of the day and in such an atmosphere dress codes can certainly be a helping hand.

If no dress codes are maintained in a workplace then anyone will wear anything of his/her choice. This will distract other employees and have a severe impact on their performance. If a colleague proves to be a distraction the other employees will have a hard time concentrating on their work. Dress codes have to be reasonable depending on the type of work.

• Tank tops, muscle shirts or halter tops

• Hats or caps
• Wearing sweaty pants or sweat suits

What things should employers keep in mind at the time of deciding a dress code?

Dress codes have to be reasonable depending on the type of work. At the time of developing a dress ode the employer should ensure that they are:
• Job related
• Not treating one sex less favorably than the other
• Not treating one race less favorably than the other

It’s very important that the employer communicates these dress codes to the employees, for them to follow.

Christian Rings can be worn as Wedding Rings

More often than not, men’s Christian rings are worn as wedding bands and matched up with a similar ring for the bride to be.  The gift of a wedding band during a marriage ceremony is believed to have started in approximately 850 AD, but it was rare to see a man wearing a wedding ring until after World War II.  Up until recently, men’s wedding rings were limited to a few basic styles in yellow and white gold, but men today can choose from a much larger selection of rings.  Today’s Christian wedding rings for men come in a variety of metals and designs, including a black titanium cross ring and a stainless steel triple cross ring, to name a few.

In the world of men’s rings, there is a fine line between alternative wedding bands and fashion rings, with many designs being interchangeable.  Some of the more casual styles of Christian rings are “spinner rings”, also known as “worry rings”, which feature a stationary inner band and a movable or “spinning” outer band. The outer band usually has a design on it, and in the case of Christian rings it is a cross, a dove, or the “Jesus fish” symbol.

The Jesus Fish symbol may seem like a recent invention, but it actually predates the cross.  Followers of Christ used this symbol to recognize one another during Roman persecution, and it is based on the fisherman who became disciples of Jesus.  In addition to being a symbol of Christianity, the fish symbol also reminds believers of Christ’s unconditional love.
